Sleep Pattern: To stay healthy, an adult person is said to take six to seven hours of sleep a day. But in the new era, when the pressure of work has increased on people and many techniques of entertainment have come, people have started losing sleep. Due to the habit of staying awake till late night and spending more time on mobile, people are not able to get the required sleep during the day, due to which the normal sleep pattern has deteriorated badly. Let us tell you that deteriorating sleep pattern has a negative impact on both body and mental health. If proper sleep is not taken for a long time, then the person can become a victim of many types of mental problems like dementia etc. Let us know about this.
Health risks can increase due to less sleep
A study published in Psychosomatic Medicine last month said that people who get less sleep are at risk of many diseases like heart disease, dementia, stress, anxiety, sugar and depression. Let us tell you that Penn State University studied about four thousand people in this study. In this study that lasted for ten years, people’s sleep patterns were monitored. Under this, the sleep patterns of the people involved in the study were identified in four parts. This included better sleep, better sleep on weekends, people who take naps and people who suffer from insomnia.
The risk of these diseases increases
The study found that most of the people involved in the study were following the pattern of less sleep, insomnia or napping. If seen, not all patterns can be called good for health. People who complained of insomnia during this study showed symptoms of heart disease, diabetes, depression and physical weakness. Along with this, the risk of diabetes and cancer as well as physical weakness was seen in people who took frequent naps during the day. Less educated and unemployed people were more likely to suffer from insomnia. Whereas people taking naps during the day included retirees and elderly people.
Improvement in lifestyle is necessary
Doctors say that to adopt the right sleeping pattern, it is important that a person improves his lifestyle habits and understands the importance of sleep. Regular exercise, less use of mobile, less intake of caffeine can improve your sleep and this is very important not only for your mental health but also for keeping the body healthy.
